The 105T Type T thermocouple consisted of 24-gage, shielded, copper wire and constantan wire. The copper wire and constantan wire were joined at a measurement junction that was electrically isolated from the soil (or other media). Electrical isolation avoided measurement errors due to differences in ground potential.
The "-L" on a product model indicates that the cable length is specified at the time of order.

The 105T is measured by the TCDiff instruction in CRBasic and by Instruction 14 (Differential Thermocouple) in Edlog. One differential channel per probe is required; a thermocouple reference junction at the data logger is also required. If large numbers of 105Ts are to be measured, the AM25T Thermocouple Multiplexer is recommended. The CR200-series, CR500, and CR510 dataloggers do not have thermocouple measurement instructions and are therefore not compatible with the 105T.

The information included on a calibration sheet differs with each sensor. For some sensors, the sheet contains coefficients necessary to program a data logger. For other sensors, the calibration sheet is a pass/fail report.
