Volt 116 sampling rate vs measurement result

jcwai Nov 22, 2021 06:42 AM

I'm connecting 4 Verivolt Isoblock I-ST-1c 4A/5V current transducer and 2 Phoenix Contact MACX MCR-Vdc 500V/5V voltage transducer into Volt 116 to measure solar DC current and DC voltage via Campbell Surveyor.

When sampling rate faster than 5Hz, all parameter were measured in expected range; when set to slower sampling rate <1Hz, voltage reading dropped close to 0V. I'm expecting to run a 5sec scan interval for my system but it doesn't return result within expected range.

Is it a setting issue or some noise from the system setup causing the system can't g through slower scaning interval?

Thanks.

When you changed to a slower scan rate, did you switch the measurement to the ACPower() measurement? ACPower would read 0 in a DC application.

Make sure you have the signal grounds connected to the VOLT116.

You are using isolated measurement modules. They should be running on a power supply that also powers the VOLT116 or has a ground connection to the ground of the power supply for the VOLT116.

Any noise issues should be lower at low fNotch settings than at high fNotch settings.

If issues persist, I would suggest exporting both the working and nonworking configurations. Then contacting your local technical support.
